The evaluation design outlined in this report was developed by a team of Middlebury Institute of International Students graduate students for their Evaluation in Social Change Organization coursework. The MIIS team worked with Emily Partick from CARE Consulting who are working with McCormick to tackle their Purpose-Led Performance goals that aim to increase the “resilience of 90% of smallholder farmers that grow our key iconic herbs and spices, as measured by increasing skills and capacity, income, access to financial services, education, and nutrition and health.” In response, CARE developed the Rapid Impact Women’s Empowerment Framework (RI-WEF) to address areas of concern within the supply chain.
